Frederick J. Simon

Frederick J. Simon served in the FBI as a Special Agent for nearly 24 years.  During this time, he was assigned to numerous worldwide cases involving Human Intelligence gathering (HUMINT), Hate Crimes, Espionage, International & Domestic Terrorism, Violent Crime, Corruption, Cyber Crime, and White-Collar Crime.

Mr. Simon partnered with the Department of Defense as an FBI and CIA-trained Interrogator at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba (GTMO), responded to a multitude of crime scenes as part of the FBI's Evidence Response Team, served on the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Team, trained with the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), and assisted an allied Foreign Intelligence Service with Witness Protection, conducting Protection and Advance work.

Mr. Simon was deployed overseas as a representative of the US Government at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA), instructing foreign police agencies from Romania, Hungary, and Moldova, in Crime Scene Preservation, Evidence Collection, Arrest Procedures, and Tactical Operations. 

With extensive experience working on numerous high-profile cases throughout the US, Mr. Simon partnered with local Police Departments, Sheriff’s Departments, State Law Enforcement agencies, and Federal entities to help defend against the terror and crimes that plague our communities. 

Later in his career, he coordinated various FBI programs that assisted in safeguarding public and private entities such as Cleared Defense Contractors, Medical/Healthcare companies & facilities, Sports & Entertainment venues, Houses of Worship, Social Network companies, Cyber Security companies, and large US Infrastructure companies.  Specifically in the Public Sector, he assisted the US Military, Police & Fire Departments, and was ultimately selected to serve as the primary Congressional Liaison for the FBI's largest Area of Responsibility (AOR) for this position, responsible for interacting with 30 US Congress members on a regular basis, including two US Senators. 

Over the years, Mr. Simon created customized training courses, and provided training for thousands of people in various topics such as Situational Awareness, Active Shooter, Risk & Vulnerabilities, Insider Threat, Scams/Fraud, De-Escalation, Terrorism, Human Trafficking, and Internet/Cyber Security.  Mr. Simon also had the unique opportunity to become an Instructor for a Train-The-Trainer Program on Active Shooter with the Los Angeles Police Department.  He has also assisted National Fusion Centers in the execution of a multitude of Risk and Vulnerability Assessments for private and public organizations. 

Mr. Simon has been the Keynote Speaker at events for Universities, Private Sector conferences, and symposiums, and assisted with the execution of Table Top Exercises (TTX) and Field Training Exercises (FTX) on local and federal levels.

Now retired from the FBI, with the objective of maintaining safe communities, Mr. Simon has created LOOP Inc. to provide a variety of security and safety-related services and training to private and public entities in need. 

Lastly and most recently, Mr. Simon has been accepted as an Adjunct Instructor/Professor at the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI), the State of California POST training entity for law enforcement personnel.
